Re: bleaching holy rock
Soak it in fresh water for about an hour.
Then let the rock DRY out completely, as it will ensure that any bleach left over will evaporate off.
Then it should be 100% safe to use.

Re: bleaching holy rock
Add a lot of dechlor to the water you soak it in'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Re: bleaching holy rock
I have bleached holey rock atalmost full strength. Then I let it sit out in the sun for a few days after rinsing off with the hose. It was ok then. as long as you cant smell the bleach then you should be good.
Use dechlorinator as stated above to be safe. There is no "normal" life, it's just life so get on with it.
