    Re: Hurricane Ike....................

They are not going to go door to door with law enforcement but it is a strong suggestion to leave.  You always have the right to stay and protect your property.

Mandontory means that you should leave and they will tell you to but if you don't leave and somthing would happen they will not help you. The reason that the people in the coastal countys need to leave is because of the stormsurge. If you watch the weather channel they have a coastal evacuation zones map that tells you the places that need to evacuate.

Yes, the eye is about 80 miles wide if the storm hits 50 miles from here we will still be in the eye.

              Hey Treston,
I am watching the weather channel and I don't see anything about the zip codes...Is there anywhere else that I can look that up?
              I've tried googling it and I couldn't find anything that's current.  8O

battery pumps are at just about anywhere that sells fishing supplies.  even some people near boating & bait shops can find them there

just a thought --  itf you go to Walmart remember you can check out at sporting goods department/automotive & nursery to avoid some lines up front.

everyone please be safe.   you can't be replaced.    unless your my X !!   LOL

                              from www.click2houston.com

Mandatory evacuations have been issued in the following Harris County ZIP codes beginning at noon Thursday:

                              77058
                              77059
                              77062
                              77520
                              77546
