It's pretty much the same with my husbands job - he is on call 24/7.  Even when he does take vacation time off from work (just to sit at home LoL) he is still on call.  The day we got married his job was calling him, and they knew what we were doing.

Just go to a place that most people don't normally think of... when I was at an auto parts store (Autozone), all of their batteries were fully stocked.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Kim went and looked at michaels and other places like that... none of them had them...

then as a last ditch effort she went to walmart... and they had plenty...  sometimes walmarts ability to move such vast quantities is impressive...

I went to accadamy and purchsed (2) Deep Cycle Trolling Marine Batteries for $79 each. This way I can cycle between charges.

I also purchased (6) floating powerheads that flow 360gph for $29 each.

Close to $400 spent today with wood.

I hope everyone stays safe this weekend. We are heading east early in the morning. We evacuated the inlaws to Dallas overnight (no sleep for 30+ hours), came home took a long nap and we just woke up and watched the news. Hope everyone in Galveston got out safely! They are saying we won't have power for almost two weeks. I don't think I have enough batteries.  8O Good luck to all of you and stay safe! Maybe when ths is over we should do a head count.

hey thats wierd I just seen the same error when I clicked that link.

                              Ok, try this.

                              Go to www.khou.com

when the page opens up, in the blue box where it says  "Run from the water, hide from the wind"
Look down the list of links for "Wind speed impact by zip code" click that link (same link as above) but for some reason it works every time when I click it through there.
