I can't remember when, but I had spoken to phishphreek some time over the weekend, he had evacuated to a hospital in texas city I do believe. It is a little fuzzy to remember.

After the post last night I was able to get into contact with her. She is going through a lot right now. This has been hard on her. Health wise she is well, her family is well.

If I had a phone life would be so much easier, I could call up bob and find out how he is. I do not have his number still in my pm box. I actually "borrowed" a phone yesterday to txt Alexa.

Hey guys, just briefly. I'm at work. We have power there now. None at home yet even Meyergrove apartments is on the same circuit as a nursing home! Lost about 90% of my fish, the siren just died today despite my best efforts. Mike Troung, if you still have the next smaller siren left I am very interested, just as soon as my tanks are inhabitable. Thanks to the geeks, krisvalkyrie and Philbert, as well as Gene and Patrick (not on HFB). Take care everyone, thank you and see you again soon when power and internet are restored.

WOW. I haven't been to the site in ages and I just read this thread cover to cover. WOW.

I got my power back in the woodlands at about 8 last night. I lost a few guppies and Cardinals in the Plant tank but that was due to over CO2 use last week I   suspect. The big puff is doing fine. A generous neighbor let me siphon some power from his generator to air up my tank and keep my food cold. 4 homes in my neighborhood had trees through the roof. 3 within sight of my front yard. We suspect a tornado as the 4 houses are all in a row.

Let me tell ya. Knowing how bad the storm was after reading the first page was amusing now that its over. When I was reading the Location: of all of the posters I began to worry and seeing Alexa in the west end of Galveston I was terrified.

I'm glad everything has turned out as well as it did.

At work so this will be short. Remaining fish ok as of this am. My apartment manager said that centerpoint now says that power will be on AFTER Monday! 8O
Girlgeek, Since I have to work long hours and will be spending my evenings with Gene, I will not be able to bring remaining fish untill Sunday afternoon. At that time, I'll bring the remainders. I think the climbing perch and bichirs will be ok.

They told us we would have power 4-5 days ago, and then today. Who knows when it'll come back on. Could be worse though.
