I am back online! We got internet last night! Things are finally back to normal at my house.

Got power back after 5 days but I have had not cable TV or internet access until now. $#!+ All the cable people could tell me was it will be up in a couple of days.... They told me that last monday, then again last wednesday, then again last Friday........
Well the local used paper back shop only lost the botom 4 rows so I managed to read 5.5 paperback westerns last week.

I have 2 big old fir trees in the afront yard that decided to lay down - big root balls sticking up out of the ground
and one small piece of vinyl siding that needs to be replaced but the 140mph roof I put on 2 years ago lived up to its name.

Well, I got sick the weekend before IKE got here and my doctor put me in the Hospital on the 9th so I watched IKE from the 3rd floor of Mainland Hospital and Saturday after the power and water went out, I was evacuated to Spring Branch in an antique military helocopter. (I have had 40 year old cars that were in better shape) After a week in Spring Branch I got to go home and the power was back on but I had lost most of my betta fry in their grow out tanks. (no food and no air). Heard from both David and Alexarae.
She and David are online these days... not often but do pop in and outta here. I promise you when they see you have been here they are going to write more.
In short.. David I understand lost his car attempting to get to Alexarae. He volunteered down in Galveston.
Alexarae, lost everything.. as in everything. Her apartment had basically a synflood go thought it and take everything with it out of the apartment.. She lost her personal stuff and all her tanks.. they are gone.
Her story is pretty sad.
I will let her talk to you more about all the things that happen to her.
