so i was cleaning up my 55 and getting ready to move my res into it, on the way moving it into the bathroom, i hit a corner, and one of its side pannel glass broke, so i was wondering if its possible to fix it, if so who does? and is it worth it...

I'm not comfortable with the idea of having a cracked tank in the house, but it is a minimum risk to some.
Just be more careful next time of course.

Petco is not doing anything above 29g so that would be a long time before it happens.
55g usually go for cheap here, craigslist, marshreef.com, etc. I would just post a wtb ad and see what pops up. You could fix it by replacing that pane of glass but honestly with all the work involved probably just better off getting a nice spankin new one.700g Mini-Monster tankComment

i got my 55 tank, stand, cheapo lights, gravel and a emp. 400 for 50 bucks, can't beat that price...
since its a turtle tank, i was thinking about getting couple pieces of pixy glass and then just stick it on both sides of the cracked glass, or i can just use it as rep. tank...Comment

Silicone does not adhere to plexi-glass well so it would be a poor choice.....using it to try and retain water is an even poorer choice.
I would slap a piece of glass on there if you plan to use it as a turtle tank and try not to fill up to the crack.700g Mini-Monster tankComment

I would just pick up another tank from Craigslist.. there are always deals coming up there.

20 sw cube - a few damsels and a colony of bristleworms
29 fw - self cloning crayfish..which can't seem to clone haha
29 fw - mollies / albino bristlenose / ghost shrimp and snowball shrimp/ glo danios
29 fw - crs/ amano/tiger shrimp /assassins/ whiptails/ plants/ 3 emerald cories
55 fw - steatocranus casaurius (20ish)/ tetras/ rainbows/large Jack Dempsey

ack! don't smash it! Let me turn it into a cricket box! I just got 1000 crickets in the mail today and they're really crowded - even split between a cracked 20L and a cracked 30.
Not to mention all the pinhead crickets growing up in another 20L and a 10G...
(I bet people always wondered what I did with cracked tanks...)The ultimate oxymoron - Narcolepsy and ADHD.
