Hey guys! I have seven bleeding hearts in my 58g here in college station. Recently the male of the group and several of his ladies have all been turning a very dark red on their fins and in the hearts. Can anyone explain this? I'm wondering if it's from aggression or them just being comfortable after being moved. They also got several of James' evacuee fish as neighbors temporarily so I'm wondering if that is affecting the social balance of the tank...three barbs, six mollies, and 1 albino pleco. Thoughts?

Re: Bleeding Heart Tetras: Super Red?
My thinking is, you need to give them to me, for safe keeping.... :)
Seriously, I have no clue what this could mean, a wild guess would be that they are healthy and doing pre mating rituals???
Keep us posted...

Re: Bleeding Heart Tetras: Super Red?
Well that occurred to me however these are wild caught bleeding hearts and I've heard from several people that they rarely is ever breed in captivity. However if I ever need them to be kept for safe keeping you'll be the first one I call! How are the crays?Katamari Damacy...That's just how I roll...

Still kicking, I hardly see them though, they do hide alot. I moved them into the den, they are now living in a 20 gallon by themselves.
