Tankmates for discus

I know someone wanting to get into discus and want to know if hoplo armored catfish are suitable tankamtes and what other fish can be kept with discus. Thanks.

Nick - my understanding is to be careful w/ some cats as they are attracted to the body slime produced on the Discus.   Have only kept bristlenose and of course cories for that reason.

Mine are w/ cories / o-cats / drawf rainbows / cardinals / rummynoses / cherry shrimp --  
--tried roseline sharks [too busy as they got larger] / clown loaches [ tuff on netrite snails]

I have corries cardinals a roseline shark rams a gold nugget and a blue butterfly I wouldn't recomend putting discus in anything less than a 29 but as with any fish the bigger the better

That's just overkill. Do you have any idea how big a Pacu would get in a giant tank like that? I like to call 10 gallon tanks "Pacu heaven".
