  • shopping as therapy

Today I finally went to a podiatrist for a persistant foot problem. Since I work on my feet all day, this pain has been a major issue lately, getting worse all the time, so I gave in and went. The cortizone shot I got was tough to endure, so I figured I deserved a break, High-PH and I went to HAW and did a little shopping. I've shopped out of his garage before, but WOW! I love Daniel's new place. Came home with more than I anticipated and loving it! My foot still feels like broken glass is under it, but my eyes are happy watching new fish! Bought Simulans for the planted 10 gal, Rummys and Cards for the discus 150, and 2 fine young Discus to add to my collection, Tiger Turqs. No pics til everyone settles in.

I do it all the time! Sorry to hear about your foot though.

My friends sometimes tell me it might be cheaper to see a phsychologist.

Yeah Ek, but shopping is SO much more enjoyable!! I wonder if I can claim it as a medical expense?
And thanks, the foot will heal eventually now I know what is going on.

That's what I keep telling them!

I think sometimes my fish and hobby is what keeps me sane...

The only thing that can keep me away from aquabid on a bad day  is spilling my drink on the keyboard.
Which reminds me, I have a shipment due in the morning.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
