Yeah, I have actually cut the foam and sized up my rocks, but I have yet to spread the masonary mix on them....I put it on the back burner for some reason...I need to finish it up ...thanks for the reminder...

I will try to finish them up this weekend if i get a chance....the foam is found at Lowe's or Home Depot, it's pretty cheap and the other materials as well.....

I just lost intereste it seems halfway thru the project....but I do want to finish it up and see how it looks..

It does look nice finished.  I'm not a big fan of synthetics, like styrofoam, but I'm sure there's other mediums.

The big advantage of using the foam is the weight issue, it's maybe 10X's lighter than real rock of course....plus the foam backing should not damage the rear wall of the tank.

Maybe I can talk Spyke into doing it for the next 29g we set up, which should be soon....  I'm into cichlids these days and the little babies I have right now will need more space in a few months :)
