okay......Nancy this is for you to see too.....
i just moved my turtle "chewie" into his new house.....he was very shy about it at first...but since he's been really active in there and checkin things out.....he seems happy to have all that room now.....he hasn't ventured onto the turtle dock yet...but he's getting close i think.....so without further adue.....HEREEEEEEEEEEEES CHEWIE......

well,...he's no trouble at all....pretty much takes care of himself....he gets a pet from me with each feeding....and he loves....his turtle food...whatever it is..... ....but he's one of my kids.....cichlidfan got him for me when he was just a tiny little thing over at mikes' old shop before he closed it.....so i've had him about a year now...and he's really grown up since i got him....but he loves me unconditionally...as long as i feed him that is...... :wink:

and i'll tell him you said he was cute....he'll love that....

in 1999 I was working near Lake Pontchartrain and there were a bunch of large red eared turtles in all the ditches (hiding from the Gaters).
They would layout in the sun on anything that floated but you couldn't get within 10' of them.

they are my babies.....and speaking of.....i have alot of little guys in there now i just can't get them to stay still long enough to get some pics of them.....i still have one female holding....she just doesn't want to give em up yet....i call her spot....she has black spots on her fins.....but i'm sure she'll spit them out when she's ready or they get so big she can't hold them inside any longer.....


cichlidfan is right .....they are F1's.....he should know best.....he supplied me with them when they were all just wee ones'....i've grown them up this big.....they have done so well....and i've had such a fun time watching them grow .....i love my chimbas.......
