Just wanted to share this pic of one of the gobies. I was taking some of the rocks out of the tank to fix some stuff that had been knocked around, and looked over to see this. It's like she was hiding with her back up against the rock. She stayed like this almost the entire time I was working in the tank.

Aren't they AMAZING?! I knew I liked you, Eartheater.
So, here's the story. During Ike, Nickintex lost power at his house for a long time. So he brought his fish over here to stay until he got power back on. I fell in love with these guys the moment he brought them through the door, so when he came to pick up all his fish, he let me keep these guys. Gotta love Nick!
He told me they are Jade gobies, also known as the Fat Sleeper goby. I'd ask Nick where he got them. I know one came from Freeport, but not sure about the others. :)
They've been mating the past few weeks but neither one of them are very good at keeping an eye on the eggs. :? I'm hoping they'll get better at it with practice. Our Fishhouse

do u think i could put a single male in my 125g tanganyikan tank with my neolamps? ph stays a steady 7.6, temp stays a steady 81 degrees, ammo-0 nitrite-0 nitrate-0. how big do they get and how is their temperment, cause i see a gold tiger datnoid and a flower horn. so im guessing pretty aggro?FRENCH FRY!!!

Actually, they are not aggressive at all. But they will stand their ground when necessary. Our Dats are pretty much weinies too though. The flowerhorns have been copping some attitude lately, but don't really mess with the gobies at all.
I've read that they will eat anything they can fit in their mouths, but we feed this tank rosey reds and I've never seen them even look twice at one. Which Neolamps are they? The biggest goby is about 7" right now, but I've read they can get around 12" - 14". Not sure how fast they grow though. Our Fishhouse

I use a Nikon D40x. Love it! guygeek did the research on the cameras, so I have no experience with any other kind. Lenses are expensive! Sony must be a good camera because those shots of your Geo's are so good. Our Fishhouse

1x WC 4" Synodontis Polli
1x Girraffe Catfish 'Bayali' AKA Dwarf Girraffe Catfish
1x WC 4" Male Brown Bristle Nose Pleco
yeah, i love the sonies, i used to have a 12megapixel canong9, like the best non slr canon u can get. the sony dh10 is the best non slr sony u can get. it only has 8 megs, but has 15x zoom, and 5x digital zoom, which basically means i can zoom in on someones face from about 30ft, and get a no flash shot on the first try without any special lense. really cool. i want a wide angle lense. and maybe a fine focus lense.FRENCH FRY!!!

Re: Okay everybody, just be cool. She's moving the rocks ag
i used to have a sleeper cow goby, about 9", he would not eat any live foods, he only ate table shrimp, mussels, and pieces of fish meat. which is weird, cause they are supposed to be like awesome ambush preaters, but he only liked fine prepared seafoodsFRENCH FRY!!!
