  • Foggy Day On The Water

It was COLD, WET, a bit SCARY, but it was alot of fun.

Fishlady and I went back out to the LaGrange area for some Holiday BassFishing, here are a few pics of our cold, wet, and very foggy day at Fayette County Reservoir.
We had to putt along at a snails pace to make sure we did not run aground or into another boat, it was so hard to see, it made moving from one area to another very exciting.

We caught a fair number of fish early on in the fog, but most of them where caught after the sun finally broke our around 1PM.

It turned out to be one of the best fishing trips that we can remember, it was very cold, very wet, when the wind blew, but we managed to catch over 30 fish on this trip....

Hope your day was a good one too.....

    Happy Holidays

        Fantastic trip & fish.
I grew up in Galveston, fishing for Reds & King Mackerel off shore.  Sure do miss it.
But I don't miss the fog.
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Been there before though, and from my past experience, it's not worth it. They just don't really belong in a tank, now farm pond yes..... :)  But no tanks.

Looks like a great trip, Steve. Some of my best fishing trips have been on the worst-looking days.
