My new puffer (Spuff) RIP

He/she is a New Guinea red line tribal puffer. I just put he/she in their tank.

He got it from the raffle at the GHAC Xmas party. I bought it from Fish Ranch 2 and donated as a raffle item. 8)

Thanks. Both Treston and girlgeek wanted that puffer BADLY!   I would have bought one formyself, but I already had purchased a Fugu puffer the day before. I'll post pics of that guy later.  8)

I'd like a puffer too, but have reservations about trying to keep one....maybe this coming year...later in the spring...hopefully.....

well....good luck with him, they can be tricky to care for, if you have any concerns, contact edlmc (lissa) or imagirlgeek (traci) for any questions you might have....

That puffer is so adorable.  At the party I put almost all my tickets in that bag!! lol

I don't know much about them- except they're PRETTY!  And they look so sweet (kinda like my paratilapias- looks can be decieving I'm sure)

Do they puff up often?

fishboyt is going to be a great puffer parent.  He has asked all the right questions, and I'm glad he won Spuff.  

I can't wait to hear all about the personality that emerges as Spuff gets settled in.

I doubt Spuff will be puffing up considering they only do that when they are in distress and it's very hard on them.  fishboyt will make sure that doesn't happen.  :)

fishboyt -- Let me know if you need snails for him.  We have a tank dedicated to reproducing snails for our puffers and I can figure out a way to get some to you.

That would be great!  :)  I have been looking for snails in all of my tanks but haven't found any.
