? about filtration on my 75g

ok, i am currently running 1x Eheim Classic 2215 Canister as the only filter on my 75g.
i know, i know, its not enough.
also, for circulation i am running 1x Hydor Koralia 2 Powerhead.
this is what i want to do,
add another Eheim 2215  and another Hydor Koralia Powerhead, would this be sufficient for this tank?
i would add a wetdry, but i dont know anything about them, and i really cant afford the proclear 75 i want :(  
so i was wondering, would 2x Eheim Classic 2215's and 2x Hydor Koralia Powerheads be enough longterm?

i am currently keeping about 12 Various African Mbuna, along with a Dwarf Girraffe Cat, 1m2f Electric Blue Ahli's, 3x 3-4" Clown Loaches, 1x Angelicus Botia, and 1x Yoyo Botia.

just me but i like to try and turn the tank over at least 7x per hour or for 75g 525gph even with 2 - 2215 thats only 330gph or so.
keep an eye on the fish market maybe you ccan get a wet dry used cheap.

No better time to start than now. I think getting the wet/dry would be your best bet. And they are relative cheap if you find them used here or on marshreef. They don't really get old.

If you have your heart on cansiters......I think 2215 and another powerhead would help. 2217 would be even better and they go for about $75 used.  

I would for sure add another filter whether it be wet/dry or canister. I like cleaning filters one at a time. If you clean one you still have some BB in the other filter to take care of the bio-filtration.

Most importantly, if you are doing water changes every week than you should be ok with any type of filter you chose with the fishes you are keeping.

You are decently stocked with 21 fishes.

i would love a wetdry more then anything, but i can seem to find a ProClear 75 with overflow box, and a decent pump :(
even if i found 1 without a pump, i would just throw on a mag drive pump.
but the only wetdrys i see are freaking huge.
i will keep looking though.

good luck on the hunt.

I have the eshopps overflow and wet/dry system with an eheim return pump. I like there overflow boxes cause it's black and my background is black. Thing works like a champ and maintenance is low. All I do is clean the filter pads like once a month.

That's what I don't like about canisters.....maintenance can be a EDIT.

Pro-clear/ Aqua-clear/ sea-clear.... all make similar wet/dry.

I would at least add the 2215 and Koralia

well, i just signed up on marshreef, and i am waiting to hear back from a member on there about a 24"x10"x16" wetdry, i am also waiting to hear back from another guy about an eshopps 800 HOB overflow
if this goes through, i will need is a mag 7 or mag 9 pump, and flex tubing

told you homeyy.....that place got cheap stuff. I get most of my tropheus filtration from there. I just got a mag 12 for 75 bucks.....used for like 6 months.

now that you got the wet/dry.......you should upgrade the 2215......i'm thinking two 2217 and you'll be set!
