It depends on what malawi you choose. Most Haps/ Peacocks would do fine with oscars because they get fairly large. Stay awa from the ones that stay small. If the oscars are already big, you'd need to get others that are relatively large...

Oscars only eat 2 things.

Oscar.... there is a love hate relationship with them
1. They grow big.. have to have fish that can can hang with them.. because like above.. they eat everything in site.
2. When they get territorial... they get aggressive... else they are like babies...
3. They are very smart fish.. that is one thing that is cool with Oscars...

i love my oscars very much. one is about 8" and he dominates my tank. the other is about 6" and is just his sidekick. everytime I walk into the room he recognizes me(because I'm the only one allowed to feed my fish) and swims right to the spot where I feed and just sits there with his mouth open. oscars have "personality".....pete and repeat that cichlidfan has in the 150 are the sweetest guys/gals.....when we got them they were so small and cute...now they are "HUGE" and so beautiful....they are messy when they eat though......
but they are gorgeous fishies.....i love pete and repeat very much......Comment
