My fish keep ending up in the clear box that the u-tube goes into hanging on the back of the tank. I have that blue spongey stuff inside the box in the tank and there really isnt any room unless they jump over the foam into the box and get siphoned to the outside......any idea how to stop this? the fish dont seem to mind being in the outside box but I`d rather they stay at home in the tank. I just got that little white fish that i got from Tim outa the outside filter....again!

Re: fish in the filter!
i have no clue! but i am guessing you mean the overflow box?
i would put some mesh over it or maybe cover that part of the tank itself better.
so they cant jump out to jump in.

Re: fish in the filter!
I cut up one of those sponge filters from City Pets, the kind they use in Wet Drys.
I cut it up in three pieces to fit firmly inside the intake box that sits in the tank.....works good, but if you use any floating foods, you're going to have to remove the pieces now and then and clean them.
CFTruth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.

Re: fish in the filter!
I like it for my fry. I get 100's out every year and put them in grow out tanks. Go to Micheals and get some of this.
