What a poor fish keeper..... now everyone knows that Oscars will try and eat anything that is in the tank and for you to put fish in there that is viewed as food is just horrible.
Someone should thump you and take away your fishkeeping privelages.
BTW...EaRtHeAtEr...... did you pull the DoJo out or did you just go ahead and let the Oscar finish the meal. Also. how big is the Oscar and how big "was" the DoJo?
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

this coming from the guy who put an eel in with his trophs to keep the fry down
jeff unfortunatly it was :(
i put him in a breeder net until the 50g hex was up and running, apparently he jumped into the tank overnight, and the o found him :(
i also had my yoyo botia from ultilate fish, and he jumped in to but i found him soon after i found this, and cought him out.
he and the angelicus botia(ie; also your old fish are now in the new hex.
the dojo wasnt that lucky unfortunatly :(
the o is only 3", dojo was about 4"
by the time i got the net, the polypterus jacked it and swallowed it like it was nothin 8O
this is why i gave up o's the first time, they are not nessesarlilly aggro, but the are freaking garbage disposals.
and no i wanst gunna let him eat it, i no he couldnt handle that.
i have only had this happen 1 time before, and it was an oscar, he tried to eat a freakin 15" fire eal, and he was only 7".
which is why i gave up on oscars a while back,
i dont consider it bad fish keeping when the fish is in a breeder net awaiting its new home and just happened to slither out a 1/2" hole in the top of the net and got eaten.
i know :(
i was pissed :(
i even put a net over the top of the breeding net, and somehow he got out :(
i dont know how, all i can figure is that he jumped and pushed up the net and got in.
i am very sorry
i know, i really wanted him for my 50g hex, all of the bottom feeders are gunna be loaches and loaches and botia
i have a zebra botia and a skunk botia on order
but now i have to find another dojo loach
