it also came with a Rena XP3 canister filter. is that a good filter or should I sell that one and get an Eheim. As far as what SA, Im keeping Red Severums, Gold Severums, Necktie Severums, Chocolate Cichlid, Salvini, Convict, Jack Dempsey, and Texas Cichlid.

I could post some pics of the empty tank and stand in the garage, as I will not be setting it up until I get my apartment in a month or so.

I also just picked up a 150 today. Maybe in a week or 2 the tank will be set up with trops in it FINALLY!!

I would save my money up and get a wet dry on a 150..  
I have had and have a ProClear filtration.   I would go with a ProClear 200 (minimum) on that tank with the prefilter, and get the filtration you need.   A Mag 12 should be the pump you should use.   This will get you the turn over on the water you are looking for.
