It has been recomended by sales rep's of NLS that you should refrigerate or freeze the unused portions.
I get the larger bowl of it, and keep that filled as my daily dispense. Then when it empties I just re-fill that.
This way the germs and other contaiminants is minimized.

Do not keep opening/closing the tub.
Like Geoff stated using a smaller container would be best.
I spoke with the maker of NLS and he said freezing would be best but he has never felt that it was a must do.
I just keep my tubs in the dark away from moisture.
I agree with everyone here..
I keep all of my tubs in a dark dry corner of my house..
I kept one of my 150g NLS jar and I refill it from the large 5lb tub. This way I open the 5lb tub no more than 15-20 times in its life time. Ohh... and one other thing.. NEVER return food that was in your jar back into the tub when refilling.. make 100% sure you use the last bit before refilling.. why because the moisture that the small jar that has gone into the food will spoil the food in the big 5lb tub.
That is about it for me this round :)
