As for the Solaris... too pricey and it will not go down in price for a long time. Even for reefing it's too pricey.

evertything will eventually go down in price ... just look at plasma tv's when they first came out they were like $20,000 for 50" now a little over a thousand... just depends on how long you want to wait. i heard those things put off alot of heat.

The technology is still in baby stages somewhat so when it comes down in price there will something else new.

The heat is nothing compared to Halides but all non-issues when you are dealing with a full blown reef.
