I would remove the mondo grass. It is not a true aquatic plant and will slowly rot and pollute your tank. LFS sell it all the time although i dont think they should

Yea i bought some from petsmart and returned it the next day when i found that. Also beware of the assorted plant bunches (a few different plants grouped) they sell at petco. All are non aquatic but 1 plant in the set. Plus some of the plants they sell at both petcp and petsmart in the plastic tubes on racks are nonaquatic.

Just check the site i posted above and it has a section of nonaquatic plants to look out for.

Oh if you dont/cant return the plant then you can plant it in soil and makes a nice border plant in a garden.

This tank definitely has the potential to become a nice one, however it needs more fast growing plants otherwise the algae will start soon be the dominant plant.

looking nice... do you think angeling the driftwood a little might make it look better? ... maybe 45%!
