They will eat algae and food scraps like other snails but, they like protein in their diet so if you feed beefheart or bloodworms or other packaged food that's high in protein they'll be even happier. Mine love beefheart but will also snack on wafers or just about anything else I put in there, they just prefer other snails and there's no danger of my ever running out of MTS's .

Dun worry... they'll eat fish food also... flakes, pellets... anything meaty.

I think these coupled with the YoYo Loaches make an unbeatable team.

The assassins drive the MTS out the substrate and the Yoyo's knock'em out!

My assassins really like Seachem's Fly Larvae (they are the only thing that really like them). I'm approaching 100 now. :) They get raw zucchini on a regular basis too.

I count what I can see and then add about 10 percent for the ones I can't see. Mine are out and about quite a bit since they have put a good dent in my MTS's and completely decimated the pond and rams horn snails. I guess they're out hunting. If you put a glob of bloodworms or beef heart in the tank they will normally congregate for a meal.

I feed mine Seachem Fly Larvae. I seem to have quite a bit of that... it is nice to see them all congregate!

Ever since I have dropped them into my Discus tank I have baby MTS everywhere. They are all out during the day on the glass and driftwood. I have never seen so many in there before. Anyone know whats going on?

Maybe they're driving them out of the substrate. ?
