? About Berried Female RCS

i have 2 Berried Female RCS.
i dont have any experience with them,
is there anything i need to do?
i have cloth filter fiber over the intake secured with a rubberband.
and i am doing weekly 50% WC's.

Just let them be, as long as there are no predators the roach population will explode.

oh btw, have you seen any white strain snowball shrimp, green shrimp, or neocardinia sp. bumblebee loacally?

you dont want snowballs, get some blue pearls instead :)

The greens arent 100% green, a lot are rusty orange coloured(or a colour morph of a yellow shrimp), the bumblebees were at fish gallery about a year ago, havent seen any since.

+ the snowballs will breed with your reds = not good.

i am gunna be getting some tiger shrimp, a few amano shrimp, and possibly if i can find some some bumblebee shrimp:)

the amanos are going in with the cories.
and i will probably be setting up a second 10g planted shrimp tank.

i will probably due the following

aqueon 10g tank
27watt full spectrum CF light from homedepot
black beauty sand
driftwood
various mosses
anacharis
java fern
& hornwort.

filtration will probably be a air driven hydro sponge filter, instead of a HOB Powerfilter like i have now.
i like the extra kick, but i just dont think its neccessary.
heating will probably be the same as on my current shrimp tank, tetra 100 watt heater.

i will probably do tigers and bumblebees in this tank, and have my rcs and blue pearls in the other.

Cant mix the rcs and blue pearls.
They will interbreed.

Dont know about the tigers and bumblebees but you should check first.

The chart says that Tiger and Bumbles MAY INTERBREED and that the RCS and Blue Pearls WILL INTERBREED. I would do a switch. I would either put the Tigers and the RCS together and the Blues and the Bumbles together OR the Tigers and the Blues and the RCS and the Bumbles together.

if you want some rcs for free, i will have aquite a few in ~3 weeks after the females release them and they grow some.
i will pm you when that time comes
