Ah yes...I loved my amano shrimp until the day the angels found them tasty...
Oh and I found one up under the glass and the strip light...must have gotten out through the filter opening (not big at all mind you!!)... Looked like those dried shrimp you can find in the store - probably because it was a dried shrimp.
Also - I loved how a couple of them would swim upside down on the surface when I fed the fish to grab up the fish food. It was very comical. Mine were all named Pierre, don't know why, it just seemed to fit them!
i love amanos the nly thing i dont like is that they are so dull looking compared to like cherry shrimp or crystal red however i saw those for a buck and may pick up a couple for another future tank (have some in my 29 the old one) i also like the red nose shrimp and i have one that always carries eggs in the 60 but i dont know how to raise the fry, dont know if anyone has ever bred them succesufully in captivity. that would rock if i could get the rednose to breed.
