What type of shrimp are you doing?
    Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Test your water frequently when you first set up with amazonia. Most folks have sky-high ammonia at first. I'd add more plants too to use up the nutrients or you'll likely wind up with algae issues.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

                            Update on the Tank:

The Tank got its 1st water change since set up yesterday, i took out the smooth stones and put in some extra Ryuoh Stone i had laying around, the Wisteria really took off since i planted it, i trimmed it and planted the tops, Java Fern hasnt done much as expected.

Readings as of 5 minutes ago:

                            Ammonia:0
                            Nitrate:0
                            Nitrite:0
                            Ph:7.5

I want to start adding shrimp but im broke ATM
                            :(

                              Update time

One of the Tylos died for apparently no reason :( all the others were acting normal(destroying my plants)

I moved the tylos into the actual tank that was meant for them yesterday. Theyre starting to attack the Wisteria but havent touched the Fern or the Rotala YET...

I added carbon to get rid of the tea colored water, and i added polyester fiber to get rid of the small particles, it seems to be working nicely. Im also runnning DIY Co2 for now till the plants get a jumpstart then ill take it off.

ENOUGH TALK here are the pics:

I went to Walmart today and got the Polyester Fiber, 3 bucks for a lifetime supply

                              And it Begins

Rotala, lets see how long it lasts

Tylos hanging out at the usual spot

FTS, looks like the carbon and the Polyester Fiber worked

                              Enjoy
