I have tons of these snails in my tanks. I hardly see them during the day, they don't bother me but in the morning when the lights come on I have the urge to net them out.
It does, at first. But if you look closer, the spiral is a bit more elongated, and there are extension-like things on the shell, and ribbing, making it seem not as smooth as a pond snail.
Jim, those are weird. And you say you have these in multiple tanks?
their shell shape looks like that of an assassin, but it doesnt match in color at all, also, the shell has tiny spikes all around each rim of the shell.
they look cool.
im with mark, call it a new assassin and then call it a day
MB, when they are in the tank they are lighter in color with speckles all the way around the shell. I have a big one that comes out once in awhile, almost 3/4 of an inch long. You can have as many as you like they breed like roaches.
Yeah they are in my tropheus tanks (2) and the fry grow out tank. If I see one I can reach, I catch it and throw it in the fry tank. I have rare snails LOL!
