Id love to start a smallish tank for shrimp and plants. do you think any of the shrimp would be safe from dwarf puffers? could they break with them?

Very pretty!!! im still working on finishing planting my cherry tank and i need to buy some more cherries :) Those tiger shrimp are stunning!!!

Mzungu--The new tank is all ADA that I got from ADG here in houston....some of it was a gift from the fiance.

gt3guru--I think the Amano's would do well with DP's since they are like 4x bigger then them.

Grace-- I just picked up 20 more RCS from a guy down south for $1ea. his handle is actioncia on plantedtank.net and apc.

I want shrimp to breed. the cherrys are prolific but tiny. wonder if i'd have any luck.

If you start with a good amount and let them establish themselves it should be ok, also use lots of foliage for them.

I had my DP's with my RCS for about a week but they did eat what they could.

i know Tim has his Cherry colony going strong. If we get enough local breeders of them we wont need to get many more from the stores   , anyway i heard cherry and bumblebee can cross, or at least tiger and bumblebee can are you going to try that or not? because didnt Crystal red shrimp originate from bumblebee

RCS is sp. Neocaridina and the bees/bumble bees and CRS are Caridina sp.,the RCS and Tigers will cross since they are of same sp.

at least from what I have read.


Right now I have my RCS with the Bumble bees, My Amano's with the sp. Blue's and the Tigers in a breeder net awaiting the completion of their home.

there is a tank at petsmart that has a single ghost shrimp in with the puffers. shimp has been doing well for about 2 weeks now.
