I am missing something here. Do these need brackish water like the nerites do? Are the assasins eating their own spawn?

mine reproduce in 100% houston tapwater.
Lots of high animal protein foods like hikari carnivore pellets should get them in the mood. -

Yeah, generally they reproduce when there is an excess of food. A good sinking pellet should do the trick. Basically the same thing that makes MTS and other pest snails multiply does the same thing for assassins.75 planted (Being Renovated)
