    Rcs + crs

    They wont interbreed right?
    Will they be okay in a ten gallon together?
    10RCS + babies.
    Can I add 10 CRS?
    Planning on adding shrimp to other tanks when they get over crowded. BUT the question is how much is overcrowded? :)

    P.S. - Only other inhabitants are 2 panda cories and 2 otos. Pandas might be moving soon though.

    They won't interbreed but I think you'll have difficulty keeping them together. Crystal reds prefer softer, more acidic conditions than Cherries. You may find a middle ground where both will breed in the same tank. Keep us posted on the progress.

      My RCS and CRS are in a 40 gal breeder. Both are breeding but, CRS are producing more babies.
      I agree the panda need to move.

        My RCS are in somewhat good water so far. PH 7.4-7.6 temp a bit on the cold side 74.
        I've read that they need ph near 6.5ish. Anyone that has kept CRS and have bred them successfully used lower than 7.4 ph?
        I wouldn't mind buying an RO unit just to keep shrimp breeding.
        So far i'm keeping 7.4 with peat moss in filter(I think it helps...) and diy co2(changing out every 1.5 weeks)
