So I thought I'd start posting junk on here about what i'm doing. Yes I know.... What do I have to offer in the terms of a shrimp journal? Well.... #1. mistakes! and Shrimp pics! and how lame I am....
I want to keep CRS/CBS and i'll see if I wanna spend the money on PFR's later.
Lets get started!
My plans are 75%RO and 25% tap. Or maybe all RO. (I need to read up on this area more.)
Substrate is floramax bottom layer and PFS on top(It looks cool but I don't know how long it'll stay for. Just wanted to experiment with sand)
Since i'm wanting dwarf hair grass and HC to grow i'm going to add a co2 system. It's just a paintball system without a solenoid(with more money i'll buy a better one with solenoid) i'm planning on adding the lowest possible BPS so the plants can have something but low enough to where the shrimp don't die! I'll be adding an airstone for night time.
i'll dose ferts but i'll treat it like it's a 10Gallon. so half the EI dose.
The light is going to be CFL's I found this cool fixture plastic thing that is about the size of the length! 30" and i'm going to try to either rig the CFL's (3 or 4) or ghetto rig my 24" th50 nova fixture on it.

Spray bar in the middle on back of tank. Extended with extra hose. (I'm thinking of extending the spray bar to cover the whole back of the tank with extra hose and drilling holes in the eheim hose. Anyone against or for???)
My Hygro Corymbosa "Kompact" Once again thanks to Tran!
This is the HC patch! I really hope it works... I ordered a sweet patch of HC off a guy on theplantedtank and i'm gonna try the whole emersed route.
Fissidens(aka super slow grower.....) and dwarf hair grass! The DHG will be covering the whole sand area.
