Well I was worried that the berried female had dropped her eggs. But this morning after putting a few more dwarf shrimp in the 20 gallon I saw some red claw babies walking around on the bottom. So I know they are breeding so I hope to have a 56 gallon full of these guys in the future lol.Comment

So it has been a few months since my last post but some of my red claws have matured to adult size...
Have a few juveniles in the tank right now just want to get a feel for the interest in these large fresh water shrimp...
First the Alpha male... His color is kind of dark today he is getting ready to molt.
With a whitecloud in the picture so you get an idea of his size...

I quit using pre-filters they would just plug up... so now when I clean the filter i just empty the water inside the filter into a bucket. There is always cherry and malawa shrimp in the filter so i just dump them back in the tank....Comment

yep they get sucked into the inlet then live in the bottom of my eheim till I free them... They keep the bottom of the filter pretty clean...Comment

Did some clear cutting in my 20 gallon tank and the female red claw in the tank is berried.Comment
