      • Moss looks good dude!

Plants are healthy for no co2 and no ferts.

        • Overfeeding is what keeps the plants going but I think that may have caught up with me cause I got hair algae like a MOFO on the fissiden.

          • Too much light nga!

Put like a window screen on the light or let the floating plants grow wild!

            • Yeah, I knew I couldn't get away with it for too long... 2x96w over the 30g was just asking for it with no Co2

Oh, wow, no kidding! That's not just asking for it; that's begging for it!

I'm running 2x54W on my 90g. That comes to 1.2wpg, and you see the growth I'm getting. Massive light is not the solution. However, as the tank gets more established, I may do a noon burst with all 4 bulbs for a couple of hours, but still, that's about all that's needed.

                • I just like the way everything looks under higher lighting, not so much for the pants but for me.

The tank is mainly for the shrimp so if the rest suffers it's ok.

                  • You like to hoard good equipment... why don't you put injected CO2 on the tank? Then you can enjoy your shrimp, lights, and plants!

                    • Co2 lowers the breeding rate of the CRS and I don't want to risk any complications with the shrimp if anything were to go wrong. Plus there's barely any plants in there that are demanding like that.

I didn't know that! That would be a very good reason to not add CO2.

Well, have fun with your shrimp and lights then. I'm heading to bed. Been up all night studying, and I'm exhausted. Gotta take a sleep break.
