Anubias leaves can pretty much withstand any fish and snails. The only thing they can't fight against is being dug up from their rhizomes/roots, but they do burrow pretty far down. And if you initially have them anchor to driftwood or rocks, you're pretty much okay as far as their survival is concerned.

Also, if you want really nice and clear water, I'd replace the carbon in your filter with Seachem Purigen.

What kind of filter do you have? I would not replace the sponge or the bio-media, only rinse it in a bucket of aquarium water every month. If you have carbon, you can replace that every 3 months as a general practice.

FYI, the petsmart on 1960 and I45N has two bags of Fluorite, I went to two different Petco today cause I was told there was NLS crustacean but didn't find any.

well i was told by everyone to get NLS but no one refer me to Fluorite. The shrimp has not really touch the Algae wafer.

i picked up some omega shrimp pellets last night and the shrimp seem to like that. i still havent seen the assassins touch it (they might have at night though) but they did munch of a tums last night so maybe they needed calcium.

tums are pure calcium carbonate (CaCO3), well pure plus "mint" flavor. CaCO3 is a very bioavailable form of calcium which inverts and reptiles need for shells and bones. i mix RO water in with tap water in a 4:1 ratio so my calcium may have been low. i know i need to test my kH buffers and get those right again
