I have seen a few in those 'enclosed' bubbles before. From what I have read, they are brackish and native to Hawaii. I know they sell them online at a few sites and one even has them for free, you just have to pay shipping.

if they do actually adapt so well that they could be housed with other dwarf shrimps from caridina and neocaridina then it could open up the possibility of having three different, non crossing genus of shrimp in your tank.75G Standard - High Light Planted Community Fish

From what I have read they are strictly brackish, but will reproduce. Not certain if they are low or high order, but I assume if they will reproduce easily they must be high. Everything I have read concerning them states they do not tolerate anything less then brackish, but can be acclimated to marine. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

I'd be interested in finding folks who want to swap to maintain diversity. I've no idea which type locality i have and thus have no qualms crossing with other collection locales.
