  • biocube 29 filtration?

I haven't seen to much info about shrimps and biocubes. My main concern is the bioballs (being the crappy quality they are) wouldnt cut it in a CBS/CRS tank. Anyone have any experience or currently have one set up? about to buy another biocube (2nd ) tank only because they had them up for sale again.

Bio-balls suck for SW, FW it's ok, it does build up nitrate but it's either that or run nothing at all.

Good point. I think i'll just keep them then. Gotta go to Micheal's to get some mesh to put on the prefilters and then cycle time!

I would use a block of fine sponge and shove it behind the grates.

ive heard that the sponge gets dirty more then the mesh but, either way i think i'll be cleaning both about the same rate.

The sponge won't look as ugly and it'll take but a squeeze to clean.

I think i'll look into finding one then. Should I use something similar to the prefilter sponges?
