So, i got rid of the cichlids so i can start a community tank and i'm thinking also 1 cobalt losbster or a couple of cherry shrimp. Is my set up right for any of the 2? Everything fake with gravel. photo.jpg
IMO the RCS would be a much nicer for the setup, there will be more going on in the tank once they take over vs. the crawfish unless you get it to breed.
Watchoo talkin about willis? Some fish may pick at a few here n there but if we're talking about RCS, there's no way their numbers would decrease noticeably.
If you start off with a good number it will eventually work out but if you try and go the route or R_ImLikeHomoNick and nothing breeds then that colony will dwindle.
Put the RCS in first.. they breed like rabbits then add the craw fish... Then you have population control lol
Also I have had neon tetras, white clouds, micro rasborars in with my shrimp. If you keep them fat and happy they won't eat the shrimp...
Not my experience :(
Healthy fish will always have an appetite and overeat. Even if they are fed, sometimes they may get greedy and try to eat even more (read = smaller shrimp)
