Not my experience :(

Healthy fish will always have an appetite and overeat. Even if they are fed, sometimes they may get greedy and try to eat even more (read = smaller shrimp)

I am sure I have lost some shrimplets but that is the nature of the beast. I have canister filters on my tanks and no foams on the intakes. So my canister filters are full of baby shrimp. When they are large enough I put them back into the main tank.
