It looks really nice so far!! Can't wait to see the completed setup. How many tanks are you planning to have on it in total?

Not sure yet. So far, I will have the 40 breeder up top and I will probably do a 55 partitioned into 4 parts on the bottom. I have 2X10 gallons for the middle shelf so far and thinking of adding 2 more. Not sure if I want to use the 10 gallons or do something else on the middle shelf. If I put a bigger tank on the middle shelf, I will probably put the 10 gallons up top for quarantine tanks.

:) It did cross my mind, but I'm in a rental house right now and that would be a pain to tear down and set up again.

interesting, so what is the benefit of having this type UGF for shrimp?

For shrimp, the main benefit would be that shrimplets could not get sucked up into the filter. Using the Seachem Matrix under the substrate also increases the capacity of biofiltration you are able to achieve in addition to your canister filter.

This week I was out of town on business and returned yesterday to a few packages:

I immediately got to work on setting up the 40

                        Plumbing in

                        Covered with Matrix

                        Special Sauce added

                        2 bags of Amazonia

ADA has it in stock. I ordered from them last Friday and it arrived this Thursday. ADG said that they are getting their container of Aquasoil the first week of June though.

They wouldn't let you pick up your dirt? Or did you want it shipped.

I ordered though ADA/AFA in California. ADG which is in Houston does not have Amazonia.
