nice pics, i couldnt get good enough detail with my phone. we found another three in the box at tims. be aware, the babies know how to use water surface area and their bodies to climb straight up glass.

most of the ones in the pics were dead the next morning,
i found them in the water in the container, looks like they were drowned...
there were only a little water surface area in the container...
but i did pull around 10 or more from another female, this time i threw them all inside of the main tank, which covered all with moss...it will be interested if they survive and showed up later lol...not sure what the little ones would eat..
the adults were eating NLS, seems to be eating ok...
does yours hide a lot or they are not shy at all?
mine are hiding all day under the wood, by the corner or under the moss...
i hope they are just new to the environment, otherwise it would be really boring thing to keep if they hide all day long...

also can i see a pic of your set up?
              did you post it somewhere?

mine never lasted too long either, i am told they will stay in a water area mostly as young. i would think it would be hard for them to drown since i believe they have an adapted type of gills but i am not sure on that. a food source might be another issue but they seem to pick at dietrius so as long as you have that going it should be okay. i have since started a colony of springtails in the terrarium so there would be live food for babies. of the people i have talked to about growing out babies, they have said that they keep the babies in the parents paludariums and dont really add anything special for them. hopefully they were being honest with me.

the adults are crespular so they are mainly active at dusk and dawn. they will find a burrow and stay near it mostly but some will explore a bit. i kinda like the fact that they arent always out front. it gives me something to look forward to when i see them. several are out right now in fact. the 12 new ones that i got are in a temp. 10 gallon and they tend to hide or hang out in the water dish.

the first 5 are in a 29 gallon terrarium until i get the 40 gallon vivarium finished for them. i really think that they would like more water than i have for them right now. i can attach a couple pics once my gmail server is back up

So how deep should the water be?
I was thinking to get a reptile water bowl or food dish..but not sure if it would be eazy for them to get out..

                      Thanks for sharing pictures.

Totenkampf -- now I have something to shoot for in my tank. I really like the way yours looks.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

madugo - the water dish only really needs to be deep enough for them to fully submerge themselves in during a molt. the more water volume the cleaner it will stay though. do more frequesnt WC with a smaller dish. i drop clumps of java moss in my water dish so that they can climb out again. they also like munching on it.

ATH - thanks! its not bad at all, i had good bones to work with thanks to beefyg. now if i can get my lazy self to finish their new one it would be just swell. i am motivated now that i lost another one from the first group buy over the weekend. i have been wondering if there would be a a problem at some point. some keepers have reported them doing well for 6-8 months and then seeing a die off. this, to me, one seem to be a slow starvation or malnutrition issue. i give them plenty of food items but its hard to monitor how much they are eating. lets hope this isnt the case, i really like these guys and it will tick me off if they have this problem.

i just noticed the vivarium temp was up to 84 degrees, my jerry rigged standoffs to keep the light fixture off of the top glass had collapsed so the fixture was resting straight on it and transferring a good amount of heat. maybe i just founf out their upper temp limits the hard way...
