What do you feed?

I was just wondering if anyone fed their shrimp (CRS) anything special like Azoo Max, or Hai Feng?

I feed fluval shrimp food, Ken's premium catfish pellets, nls .5mm, 1mm, and they go crazy for microworms. It's awesome watching them eat the microworms. They swim all over the tank like they're on crack.

The pellets are mainly to feed the fish and assassin snails, but the shrimp enjoy it too

I've tried most of the specific foods and none really stood out like plain barley pellets or Jakes veggie sticks w/ calcium.

Does City Pets carry the Fluval Shrimp food? I was going to ask where you got the microworms from, but then remembered your BST.

They do, but my shrimp don't really eat the fluval shrimp food. They snack on it a little and leave it. My assassin snails clean up after them. They do go to town on the microworms and the catfish pellets though.

I sell microworms for $5 a culture. Cheap, easy, and if you keep it up, it'll last until you decide to quit the hobby or you croak, whichever comes first.

I've tried a variety of stuff . . . none of the expenxive stuff stuck out to me.

Any kind of regular fish food will do good, just watch for fish food with copper in it.
Copper is a big NONO to shrimp, in specific CRS.

We feed flake food, Jake's veggie sticks, fluval shrimp, and Shirakura. Most just depend on what shrimp it is and their density and companions in the tank. Each shrimp I have seems to prefer a certain type and amount.

Reminds me... I still have a jar of the Jake's veggie sticks somewhere.
