Re: Blue Lobster female with eggs - no male

Spot - 12"???  Are you serious???  Oh my Gosh!  If it all works out, you can have more than 2 if you want.  Dang.  BTW - your boys are beautiful!

We got Pinchy at Fish-n-Pets Unlimited on Bissonnet.  But if we have as many babies as we think we will have, all the LFS in the Houston metropolitan area will be carrying them.

And for all of you who said you wanted, like 20 of them, I will not blame you if you revoke your order.

The alleni's max at 4-5", some cherax's get bigger than 12".

Just be glad she's not one of these:  World's largest freshwater crayfish!

I've already checked into those - not legal to have in home aquaria....  Sure would be kewl tho!

You know those "funny guys" at crawfish boils that take two and hang them from their ears like earrings? Man, would I LOVE for them to have to hang one of THOSE on their ears!

I am reading this thread with great interest! Some awesome info (thanks Spot) and exciting times (for the Geeks!!)    Keep on updating!

How would they get along in a tank with CRS or RCS ?  Would the srimp end up as dinner for the crayfish ?

I've found that most shrimp are usually too quick for them, they go after more easily caught fish - i.e. bottom dwellers.  I did have one catch a kuhli loach tho - that was sad  :(.

I'm going to have to start a running list of people who want these guys when they become actual lobsters.  :-)

Traci, by the way, pls cancel my order of 20 to 30 babies.  It would appear that I've got 200+ already...

I noticed some dark spots on a Holey Rock in my Blue Florida Cray tank and after closer inspection, I could they were babies!
