Here it is before the snail looking things and all the hair looking algae. I might get rid of that red plant, it looks outa place.

Try cutting back on how long you leave the light on or if you're not doing any CO2, maybe try a DIY CO2 setup and see if that helps with the algae. Plants need CO2 in order to use up the nutrients in the water efficiently. If they don't have CO2 then the nutrients will be used by the algae more quickly than the plants can use up the nutrients. Fish produce CO2 so by taking the fish out you reduced your CO2 levels. It can be tricky to maintain the right balance of things in a tank that small. Scape looks good btw. I kinda like the red plant but your opinion is what matters. If it bugs you when you look at your tank then yank it out.135 gal Fahaka Puffer
