Shrimp w/Fish

Hello guys, I had a question.

i have a 8 gallon cherry shrimp tank, and I wanted to transfer my pearls danios into the shrimp tank, theres 5 of them..
my cherries as of now are breeding quite a lot, I don't want them to stop breeding if I put these fish in there.

So let me know if its a good idea or not.

Yup. They eat crustaceans in the wild. They'll love the food. People have tried the two together before, but the shrimp will always dwindle in numbers or sometimes stop reproducing all together.

Are you talking about celestial pearl danios? I have them in my nano with yellow shrimp and they don't touch them.

Pearl Danios. Mainly insectivorous. They'll eat dwarf shrimp if they get the chance.

I didn't know there are also pearl danios.

would it go the same way with the celestial pearls as well?or is this a whole different story.?

Hit or miss. Usually they'll prey on them. Try it. Wouldn't hurt to lose a few cherries
