Nerites Upside Down

Sniff test to be sure, but they're probably fine. I've noticed mine do that, sometimes for days...then they'll get up and go cruising again. Who knows?

Mine act weird too sometimes, even in a tank without assassins!

I have nerite with assasin in my tanks for almost a year... They dont bother

Interesting. 3 nerites did the same in my tank and after one day of being in the same spot I tossed them in the trash

I almost did the same except for sheer laziness... And they ended up being alive! Weirdos.

Update - Still giving them the benefit of the doubt. The three nerites that have been pretty still, i found two moved maybe an inch (but upside down again when i found them). one on multiple occasions i found turned over again. they are alive, but just seemingly unable to stay upright

they can be dying, I lost one of the zebra nerite like that too. It's quite easy to tell actually...

yeah i am not having high hopes for those three. what was your last straw before saying officially dead. sniff test?

well.. like I said... I have assassin snails in the tank Dying thing usually disappear within a day

haha yes fuzz generally is a good indicator. right now no fuzz...and no assassins in there with them to clean up. guess i am down to sniff test.

there are the RCS with one of the nerites, so i guess if i see a pack of shrimp on the shell thats a sign
