Re: My Yellow Shrimp
Cool!
What are they munching on?Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Re: My Yellow Shrimp
Bought them online.
Sorry already have 200+ RCS.
Theyre the second shrimp on my shrimp rack. The third is going to be green shrimp, then fourth maybe blue shrimp.
Broken up algae wafers.
I wont be selling any for a while, although there are several berried females already.

Re: My Yellow Shrimp
Nice!
Do some of yours have a little white spot on the sides where the head meet the body?
I seem to have a few that have white (or maybe yellow) splotches on their sides and i'm not sure if that's normal for yellows...

Re: My Yellow Shrimp
If we mix them with red ones will we get orange?
Very pretty. I hope they are fruitful and multiply and maybe someday you'll have enough to pass some along.
I love my little red critters !
PHMY MANTRA: Yes, I CAN have too many fishtanks!

Re: My Yellow Shrimp
:P Theyre all mine.
Mixing them with RCS apparently produces the wild brown colour. But you can buy orange shrimp online. Orange is one of the colours that isnt very good. The shrimp are hint of orange, rather than orange.
Nacra - I'll check on the white spots when i get back to the house.

Re: My Yellow Shrimp
Several Forums i looked at said mixing yellow with red will give you grey/brown shrimps that 'resemble' wild caughts. Ive never tried it so i cant say thats what will happen. I think i might just to see what they make. A red male with a yellow female, and a female red with a male yellow. See if theres any differences.
Loretta, I'll hook you up when i get some babies.
