Am I missing something on ghost shrimp?

Almost every store carries ghost shrimp and when I'm in a store there is normally someone buying some. What am I missing? Outside of just being a shrimp they don't look good usually you can hardly see them so why are people buying them?

Almost exclusivly for feeders, occasionally as cleaners. They can help clean before being eaten so it offers fish the hunt with live prey

I understand the feeding aspect but that's not what I'm talking about. It seems that people are using them as cleaners but again they just aren't good looking. I didn't think I was missing anything but had to ask just in case.

Uh they are also major bullies. They are aggressive to other shrimps, even to their own species. They will fight off other shrimp even if they have already eaten as much as they can. I had two that got kinda big, I would not put them past cannibalism either. I would not trust not even one with a mixed shrimp tank. They are little *******s.

That at is good information. So if I get some crystal red shrimp they will not be a good combination.

Nope, far better with Macrobranciums... then they get bullied
