Another method is to inform him that he has three days to get you your order, and if you haven't RECEIVED it (not him telling you the shrimp is in the mail lol) by then that you will open a claim with Paypal, and failing that you will take action against him in small claims court.  If he actually has the stock, that should make him get around to sending you your purchase.  If he doesn't have the stock, then hopefully he will refund you quickly instead of dragging his feet to avoid a court case.

After speaking with those involved I think it's safe to assume that product was "pre-sold" and IMO about the offering a deadline for receiving the shrimp....if Ryan is really going downhill then the paypal/back account will be empty before that claim is filed and if there is no money then there is no money.

I had to go through a similar dispute when I first tried getting some zebra plecos....

I am sorry to hear that.  I hope everyone can resolve this in the best way possible for all involved.  Not sure what that is, but I wish you all luck.

Yeah it sucks big time cause Ryan use to be a stand up guy when he was pushing shrimplets out of his own tank and though he would be a great place to deal with if he stuck with it.....

Well.. he said that he just hired somebody to do the orders so it's no longer a one man operation. So perhaps things will improve?

Just to update this thread,
I'm been having the same problems.  Ryan owes me $125, has not paid or sent anything for the last three months, but has given me an extensive list of promises that I won't bore you with.  All told, this is not someone you can trust and who makes what sound like sincere promises but who does not follow through on them.  For those in my situation, good luck!

This is someone who frequents other boards that you read

Note he is was doing the same job as someone here.. charging people for goods never received.

You do know its ILLEGAL as in AGAINST THE LAW to charge someones credit card before you ship an item ?
Small businesses do it all the time because they ship the same day (you are allowed to charge on the same day as you ship which is why many businesses tell their customers we ship the same day we get the order in)

or you have seen the advertisement "we dont charge your card until we ship" --  they say this because they know the law.  They know that its illegal to charge before you ship.

Ask anyone on the forum listed in the google search who George Tsai is and if you should buy batteries from him....

I think I have seen the name before Jesper.

As for Ryan, I know that he would screen the post in his own forum but what's odd is that I see a lot of members on there still post/frequent and those same members frequent all the other shrimp forums as well as some of the planted forums so why would you continue to partake in something when you know the guy is flaky?

Still working on the refund.  Hes been banned from plantedtank.net as well as APC now.  Now, everyone is putting him on blast and he is slowly refunding money since its all in the open now.  Nacra99, if you are reading this, maybe this is a good time to try to get your money back.  Here is some of the bashing.....

Im trying to be as patient as I can.  I know this sounds stupid but if Im kinda scared to bash him because then I wont get my money back.
