    There is a guy going by the name Fishonthebrains that has scammed members of the Monster fishbox of $7,500 that is known of so far.  He has also scammed people on at least 2 other sites and goes by at least a couple of other names.  It sounds a lot like what is going on here.  Check out the dallas fishbox post "be careful who you buy from".

      Thats why we should always buy from reputable sources.
      Buying from new sellers or no names is a risk which we need to weigh for ourselves.


      which brings to mind..... i think phpBB supports some sort of seller rating add-on.

      Admins/owner, would it be a good idea to have some sort of seller rating for members here?

            Have not heard from him in weeks.  He disappeared.  He did not refund anyone's money either.

                      you can also report him to his state's better business bureau and also the state attorney general's office.  If anything make things rough on him.

                        Yea this has been beaten to death. Email the police, attorney general, bbb, whoever you wish...

                        But... if you are owed anything, shrimp or money, please email me. Now is a good time to do this as I have been lucky lately :)

                        If you do not email me then there is nothing I can do obviously.

                            Why, as a businessman, would you need to be reminded of your debts and obligations to your customers?
                            Are you telling us that you're so uncaring or disorganized as to not have a record of what you owe and to whom?
                            The burden is upon you to settle your debts. People shouldn't have to come after you for it. Don't try to make people jump through your hoops so that you, in only your own mind, don't have to settle up with them.

                              !!  This is BS.

                              Here's a list of excuses that i collected (cut and pasted from your e-mails) .. how am I supposed to believe that this time will be different?
                              (full transcripts available for anyone who requests)

                              3/1 - Harlequinshrimp from Sulawesi  *Ships March 10th* = $600.00

                              3/31 - Previous orders are being shipped this week for those of you that already ordered some of the Sulawesi Shrimp

                              4/8 - No I am getting them from overseas Thursday or Friday. The supplier delayed me. I will either overnight them to you on Friday or this coming Monday. I will be putting extras for everyone's orders since the delay. You will definitely get extras =)

                              4/8 - I apologize for this delay. I know it seems like I keep delaying more and more but it is partially my fault since I keep adding more shrimp to the order and delaying the supplier. This time I will have extras so there won't be a delay on future orders for anyone.

                              4/18 - The Shrimp are being dropped off on Friday 4/18/08 for delivery on Saturday 4/19/08. (All arrived DOA.. see post
                              Spongicola Didn't Make It.) The package was missing my order of Cardinals.....

                              4/19 - I apologize for not sending you order of cardinals. I can send you the cardinals on Monday if that is ok? (obviously nothing was sent on Monday)

                              4/23 - I am awaiting new shrimp from overseas. Can I send to you later this week, perhaps next week? I will send extras.

                              5/1 -  The new batches are all going out on the 12th of May. I am getting plenty of Harlequins and lots of Cardinals.

                              5/16 - I have been bed ridden and have almost no energy. I was going to send everyone their shipments this past week but I have been unable to move out of bed at all. I am completely sapped of energy. Hopefully I will be able to get them out Monday.

                              5/26 - Yes. I am going to get the shipment this week.

                              5/27 - Yea they are all going out this week. I am hoping for Thursday

                              5/28 - Please tell me the exact amount and species I owe. I am preparing for shipment very soon and need to write it all down. I have tried to dig through the emails but figured I would email and get pure accurate count. No this is not a drill

                              6/6 - "I dropped off at the post office. They cannot send overnight to your area, you can only receive 2 day. You will get it Monday, ok? The shrimp should be ok, they are well packaged." (B.S.. it was sent by Priority Post! No Wonder they "Cannot send overnight to your area")

                              6/11 - Quote from another member's e-mail : "I made the mistake of shipping Raul’s on Friday and unfortunately they didn’t get there until Monday. Same exact thing with Marc."      (obviously priority post mailed on friday won't make it till at least monday)

                              6/11 - You will get your replacements. I have to repair my business name and am mad at myself for letting things get so lame.

                              7/11 - OK. I will ship Monday. I beg you to email me on Sunday night to remind me…

                              7/20 - Sorry.  Is 15 Harlequins enough? How many you want?

                              7/20 - They are quarantined for over 3 weeks now so they are more than healthy. Anyone who has theirs die after a day or two either acclimated wrong or has a bad tank. The survival rate of my recent shrimps is very high. I have testimonials to prove it. I sure hope you are prepared to receive them.

                              7/21 - Me: "Please ship early in the week so that they don't sit around in the postal service over the weekend."
                                     - Ryan: "No problem"

                              October 11 - Still No Shrimp... =(

                                You misunderstood what I meant. There are obviously people that I owe shrimp/money to in this particular thread. All I am asking is that they simply email me so that we can get it sorted out. I am not trying to dodge anything or say I dont know who or what I owe. If I didn't care at all then I would not have even posted anything here.

                                I have already said I am going to make the effort and will finally follow through. If you just want to sit there and say I wont and continue on with the backlash then that is fine. I really want to get this sorted out but I am not going to go back and forth with meaningless drama.

                                So, if you are in this thread and wish to get it all sorted out please send me an email.
