pump is going, storm made everything a mess. Discolored water from dripping off the tree. In the process of doing a massive cleaning and WC. Got a bulb ordered for the UV steralizer, 2217 is working hard, but doing good since I filled it with pillow floss. Going on a collecting trip this weekend for flagstone and other pond decor this weekend. Got a bunch of petrified wood peices I can figure out whether to put in or around the pond, or bring with to the auction. Either way, I got the landscaping material down for the pea gravel and flagstone, and a few more small things done. I will post pics as soon as we get back from collecting and placing. Wish me luck...maybe I won't get bit by a snake this time!

That is an amazing project! But my curiousity is getting the best of me . . . when did you get bit by a snake?!

So the border is made of 1x6 treated lumber with 45 degree angles, we though 90's would be too boxish:

Added a small Gardenia bush/tree, plan on putting in another on the other side of the small pond...just can't help it, I love the smell of them!

And here is the driftwood stump center piece. I wanted something in the middle that would help bugs to get out of the pond, and somewhere for toads and frogs to get up on if they decided to visit the pond:

More pics to come, as soon as someone would like to see them

On my ankle, my dumb fault for being in the pasture in flip flops. It was a baby chicken snake...not a bad bite, but got my attention none the less!

I like the driftwood idea, I would think another piece or two would offer good protection from birds looking for a fishy nack

Driftwood is one of the few peices I have had for awhile. I got them from the cow pond that we drained and dug deeper...so it was already water logged and ready. Got a few other pieces I will prolly either put in the pond, or bring to the auction too. Oh, and more pics to follow!

K, so this is the pond with the landscaping mesh layed down, some of the stones in place, and a few wheel barrel loads of gravel moved in...and the frog my hubby had to have:

next pics will be of the mostly finished product...although it prolly will never be finished, cause there is always more landscaping, and such to be done.
